Limberlost – Beautiful Scars : An evolution of a band

We all know of bands / artists that enter our lives , with openers that you’ve never seen before, spotify playlist ads, festival lineups, radio play etc, however you find them they find their way to you, Limberlost are certainly no exception.

Hailing originally from Washington USA, Limberlost are certainly no stranger to our station and have been interviewed a few times over the past several years, and with each time something extra comes to be, like an onion they have many layers, except each layer is added upon each level of the band’s evolution.

The band has been a favourite at the Sturgis Bike Rally at Kickstands Campground and Venue & Rock’in The Rivers Festival in recent years, and from opening up to rising up the card at festivals etc to playing abroad, like when I had the privilege to meet them for the first time in person at KK’s Steel Mill , Wolverhampton United Kingdom when they were main support for Yngwie Malmsteen for his UK & European tour in November 2023.

Now fast forward to 2025, and they are back !!!

Coming at you with a brand new 10 track album Beautiful Scars, the band have taken their sound to a completely different level.

Seemingly stepping away from the usual Hard Rock / Soul / Bluesy sound and feel of their previous carnations, Limberlost picks up a more harder / metal edge of the musical genre.

This includes a change of line up (like many bands have & done in the past) bringing in Steve Unger – Bass (Metal Church, Autograph) , Devon Unger – Guitar (Sin Circus, Autograph) & New joint Vocalist Sammie Gorham , the remainder of the band are long time members Brittany Smith (Vocals) , Tony C (Keyboards) &  Mike Burt (Percussion) , with that all under the wing & guidance of Paul Crosby Management (Coldwards, Ex Saliva – Percussion)

Each track brings it’s very own ‘je ne sais quoi’ with hard hitting tracks , a ballad and if I am to be as bold to say even a small sample of industrial Metal !! I won’t spoil it for you so you’ll have to find out yourselves, but you won’t be disappointed

This thought provoking, soul hitting 10 track album Beautiful Scars,  is set to release on the 13th June 2025 , certainly sets to shake cages and raise bars with a single to be released soon.
