First time being at The Musician, it’s a very cool and welcoming place, reminds me of the good old days of gig venues which are very far and few between nowadays.
As soon as I entered the venue I had the great pleasure in meeting Brooke (Vocals MuddieBrooke) who was very welcoming and greeted me with big smiles and offered for me to sit with them, which was very kind of her – Cheers for that & much appreciated as I was on my onesie
Opening the show was Siobhan Mazzie Band-
I’ve not had the chance to hear anything from her before the gig so I was quite excited as to what to expect, and talking to some of the patrons definitely made me anticipate them more as they were saying nothing but great things.
Based in Leicester, Siobhan Mazzie Band opened the show with ‘What have we become’ along with some well received banter, and what a belter it is too
The band were solid, tight and sounded great and my fave track of theirs was Recycled, and treated us to an encore too
Siobhan has this exciting, bubbly stage presence that definitely set the mood that didn’t falter throughout, and as for being new to her music I was impressed, very impressed

MuddieBrooke –
Now the headline act, and what a performance too !!
Doing live performances isn’t the Brooke’s first time on stage, as being a solo artist beforehand, it was however her first outing with a full band (a she tells me), as this was their first ever gig after forming in Jan 2020, But collectively they have around 30 years of live performing in front of large audiences.
Muddibrooke are an all female trio Grunge band from Derby United Kingdom, and they are :
Brook’s powerful vocals land on your eardrums on each track like a hard sucker punch with also some audience participation during the show to boot, which is something I really love.
Opened with the banger that is Turn To Dust, they sounded amazing from the get go, with outstanding stage presence along with that old school grunge attitude.
During their set they did a great cover of ‘Little One’ By Highly Suspect and a new track ‘Liverpool Guy’ which comes out on the 27th August 2021, while finishing the show with ‘Devil’ which is available now.
Both bands are amazing to see live and I fully recommend them & I can’t wait to see them live again.
Muddibrooke’s much anticipated EP ‘Lunacy’ is released on the 22nd of October 2021 with pre order information coming soon.
